Kabaira Dive & Tours – Rabaul
The Kabaira Dive Centre is situated oh Kabaira Beach Hideaway’s grounds and is managed by the owners of the resort. The PADI trained crew are professional, knowledgeable and of course, very friendly bunch that know each dive site like the back of their hand. As a result, they will be sure to create a personalised diving experience for you by catering to your specific interests. They have well-maintained and regularly services equipment for hire and offer a number of tours to explore the surrounding islands as well as the Gazelle Peninsula.
Please note that they do not have Nitrox available.

The diving in Rabaul is world-class, with a number of incredible WW2 wrecks, pristine coral reef and fantastic marine life. The tropical weather means warm water all year

round, with the temperature very rarely dropping below 26 degrees. The water clarity is also particularly good provided any leftover ash from the volcanos is not stirred up on some wreck dives.The shop also has a fantastic house reef just out the front which provides for a great night dive and means you don’t even have to get on a boat!
In terms of the underwater life, expect to see macro life such as nudibranchs and pygmy seahorses (if you look closely)! The WW2 wrecks are the highlight of the area, with ships and planes scattered around the harbour. Pelagics including reef sharks and rays are often spotted adding a little thrill to your dive.
