The beautiful beach side bar and restaurant is where you can catch up for a meal and share photos you have taken on your dives. Don’t forget to try one of their delicious cocktails! If you have any dietary needs, don’t stress, the staff will be more than welcome to cater to your needs.

While walking through the resort you will feel like you’re in the jungle. Incredible tropical greenery inhabits the resorts grounds. The twin share rooms are spacious and have plenty of space for all your diving equipment, even the BIG cameras.

Diving from Atlantis Dive is an unforgettable experience. The dive shop is large and has plenty of space for everyone to gear up and wash up. The camera room & classrooms are air conditioned and comfortable. As for diving, be ready to be blown away! Muck & macro diving is the main focus within Dumaguete. Keep your eyes out for Harlequin Shrimp, Flamboyant Cuttlefish, Mimic Octopus, Wonderpus and don’t forget about the dozens of Nudibranchs on every dive!

While diving with all these incredible marine creatures, your photography skills will be mastered with the help from the two leaders. Gain new knowledge and skills through the workshop and perfect them while underwater. You will amazed with the photos you bring home to show your friends and family.

Australian underwater photographers and scuba magazine columnists with many years of teaching experience between them, PT Hirschfield (Pink Tank Scuba on FB, Instagram, YouTube and www.pinktankscuba.com) and Mike Scotland (www.mikescotland.com.au) are delighted to invite you to attend their exciting underwater photography workshop at the spectacular Atlantis Resort Dumaguete in the Philippines.

This workshop is designed to help all underwater photographers (Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced) to take their underwater photography to the next level, whether you are working with a small compact camera, a large DSLR rig or something in between.

Diving in Dumaguete is a macro photographer’s muck diving dream come true! Photographic subjects are likely to include: flamboyant cuttlefish, nudibranchs, frogfish, mantis shrimp, octopus including wonderpus, mototi and mimic, seahorses, cuttlefish, mandarin fish and MANY other mini-beasts to cross off your macro photo Bucket List. (Plus there’s an option to also snorkel with whale sharks in nearby Oslob!)

The program will include as many dives as you can handle (up to 5 dives a day!) plus daily workshops including:

– Getting the most out of your equipment – camera basics and beyond
– Working with marine animals as subjects
– Developing your own underwater photographic style
– How to achieve the WOW Factor in your images
– Composition, lighting and other technical skills
– Getting your photo ‘right’ in the camera
– Editing your images for improved results
– Competing in photo competitions
– Reflective Practices
– Buddy pair assignments
– One-on-one coaching on land and underwater with Mike and PT
– Participants will have opportunities to receive positive, constructive feedback on their images at the end of each dive day and to share their images in the end-of-workshop Digital Exhibition
