DIVING
Palau offers incredibly diverse waters with a high variety of marine habitats and some of the world’s richest populations or fish, corals and invertebrates. Due to the structure of the reef in Palau, along with currents, tides and walls, Palau is able to accommodate for both the beginner and advanced diver.
In terms of marine life, you can expect to dive alongside schools of pyramid butterfly fish, square spot anthias, Moorish idols, sergeant majors, yellowtail fusiliers and a fantastic range of soft and leather corals and fans. There are also some bigger guys who will pose for you photos including grey reef, white tip, nurse and leopard sharks as well as green and hawksbill turtles. Furthermore Palau falls strategically in the path of transient pelagic creatures, such as whale sharks, whales and dolphins, and is home to the world’s most remote and isolated population of dugong!
