ABOUT TULAMBEN WRECK DIVERS

Tulamben Wreck Divers is a boutique dive resort with seven rooms (superior, deluxe and penthouse) in the main accommodation as well as the Beachfront Villa Suites. Owned and run by an Australian couple and a local divemaster, the entire team strive to offer comfortable accommodation and a safe and fun diving environment for all of their guests. The onsite dive centre specialises in Mola Mola safari tours and also visits all the Tulamben sites such as the USS Liberty shipwreck. A central pool provides a nice place to relax at the end of the day.

ABOUT TULAMBEN WRECK DIVERS

The dive operation at Tulamben Wreck Divers have a strong focus on both fun and safety. All reviews made about the dive instructors and guides come back positive! Each of the staff members will go out of their way to make your dives relaxing, and enjoyable.

DIVING

There are a number of dive sites surrounding Tulamben Wreck Divers; some extremely close to shore, and others a short boat ride away.

The USAT Liberty wreck is located just off the shore; she is 120m long and rests on a 90 degree angle with the deck facing the open sea! She used to be an American supply ship however was hit by a torpedo in World War II. Coral now coats the wreck, making it a fantastic artificial reef home to a myriad of tropical reef fish, including batfish, large sweetlips, angelfish, butterfly fish and anemone fish (with resident anemones of course) hover under ledges and in crevices. Lionfish, scorpionfish, hawkfish, bumphead parrot fish, pufferfish and coral trout and invertebrates.

Another popular dive site is the Tulamben drop off. It is accessible directly from the beach, the and a fantastic site for all experience levels, offering an awe-inspiring landscape and a myriad of marine life including a number of members from the angelfish family (emperor angelfish, yellow-faced angelfish and blue-banded angelfish). You will also spot a number of schools of trevally and bumphead parrotfish.
