Dive Munda is located at Agnes Lodge in Munda and offers a myriad of dive sites from the novice to the advanced diver. The dive shop itself is well organised and has a great little jetty to launch all boat diving from. The staff at Dive Munda are knowledge, professional and great fun. They will ensure to show you the best aspect of every site, attempt to point out as many creatures as possible and will tailor diving days to suit the group’s needs. Not only can they teach you the best in diving but each staff member also has an incredible naturalist and historical knowledge bank, consistently answer all questions thrown at them! Dive Munda has also got Nitrox available.

The diving around Munda is spectacular.  The coral reef system is in incredible condition with brightly coloured coral garden, coral encrusted walls and plunging drop-offs that have incredible sea whips and gorgonian fans decorated down their edge. The visibility in the area is dependent on the season, however can get as excellent as 40m plus in the summer months. Expect to see a number of pelagics including blacktip and white tip sharks, eagle rays, and schooling barracuda. Re adjust your vision and find yourself surrounding by a myriad of macro creatures including such critters as pygmy seahorse, squat lobsters nudibranchs and fiery dartfish. And if you’re still looking for more, there a multiple wrecks in the area that will keep you entertained for hours. From fighter planes to Japanese freighters, there are endless nooks and crannys to be explored on each.

A recent addition to the dive shop is Nitrox for those wanting spend more time chasing sharks. See below for a small sample of the dive sites:

Shark Point – A dive site that continuously lives up to its name! This site sits on the edge of a 600m plus drop off, only a short 20 minute boat ride from the resort. The dive itself can be from 10 – 20m deep and is inhabited by tropical fish, turtles, reef sharks and immaculate corals gardens. The name itself is a result of the multiple species of sharks including grey reef, black tip, white tip, hammerheads and silver tip!

The Koviki Varsair – This wreck sits on the sandy bottom at a depth of 54m. Almost completely intact it is a great example of an artificial reef with a coral encrusted body, surrounded by reef fish and home to a number of colourful critters.

Matiana Cave – A technical dive only, this cave is slightly difficult to get into but once inside, has some incredible sights. See incredible speleothemes and a blind exit into a batcave!
