Gizo sits at the western end of the Solomon Islands, well off the usual Pacific dive trail. From Sanbis you're a short boat ride from one of the world's great WWII wrecks and some of the healthiest reef in the Pacific, in warm clear water that you'll rarely share with another boat.

A 140 metre Japanese armed merchant ship sunk in April 1943, lying on her starboard side in 12 to 37 metres of water.
A handful of WWII fighter and seaplane wrecks sitting in shallow water close to the resort, ideal as afternoon or third dives.
