Above The Water

Get an incredible break from civilisation on these remote, untouched paradise islands, each with incredible tropical rainforest, limited tourism, and white sand beaches lapped with crystal clear water. The Yasawa Islands are a set of 20 breathtaking Islands, 6 of which are main islands and the remaining small islets spread out across 80 kms of coast off Nadi. Until 1987, the islands were closed by the Fijian Government to land-based tourism.

This means that they are much less commercialized than most other holiday destinations, making them perfect for those seeking a true escape. There are a number of accommodation options for visitors spread out across these islands, ranging from simple backpackers to 5 star luxury resorts. Experience unspoilt, pristine snorkelling and diving, jaw-dropping mountain hikes, village visits sail a catamaran to one of the 11 deserted beaches and some of the most incredible scenery in Fiji.

Under The Water

The beauty of diving off the Yasawa Islands has to be the seclusion. Get entire dive sites to yourself void of the petrol smelling, crowd infested disturbances. Nothing else in sight. Dive sites cater to all levels of experience from beginner to the advanced. The underwater landscape offers a number of options including walls, bommies, coral gardens and swim-throughs. In terms of marine life, you will not be disappointed. See manta rays on off Drawaga Island. Interact with sharks off Kuata Island. Seach for a myriad of macro life on the various bommies and coral gardens. See below for a small sample of the dive sites:

No Man’s Land

Located between two other dive sites, ‘No Man’s Land’ offers a fantastic underwater terrain with huge gaps between tall coral formations. As you swim through, on the walls either side of you find large sea fans and coral-sea whips which make great photographs. There are small caverns and swim-thoughs throughout the whole dive. Find a number of sharks and a number of macro critters and tropical reef fish.

Mantaray House Reef

This easy site can be dived straight off the beach near Manta Island Resort. This particular coral reef has been recorded to have over 200 species of marine life. With a light current, it is best dived by walking right up the beach and then drifting your way back down to your start point.
