Taveuni offers incredible diving at a number of locations. The islands main draw card is the incredible soft coral growth that flourishes in the area. Stay at the Garden Island Resort and dive the Somosomo Strait which runs between Taveuni Island and Vanua Levu is one of Fiji’s best known dive destinations. We also offer accommodation at the Paradise Taveuni Resort where the nearby Somosomo Straight has tidal currents that supply a steady flow of nutrients, promoting magnificent soft coral growth. There is also incredible visibility and warm water temperatures all year round. Underwater landscapes range from deep wall drop offs to shallow drift dives. In terms of marine life, anemone fish, maori wrasse, lionfish, rays and much more. Taveuni is also home to many big beasts – You can find schooling barracuda, reef sharks, turtles and perhaps even leopard sharks. The range of diving here is very good, and Taveuni is sure to please.
