The main drawcard, particularly for divers lies within the waters of Beqa Lagoon (pronounced ‘banga’ lagoon). Experience the world-famous shark dive on which you can see 9 different species of shark on one dive including whitetip, silvertip, blacktip, tawny nurse, lemon, grey reef, tiger and bull sharks! On your exhilarating shark dive, you will get to witness the thrill of a shark feeding frenzy, an incredible sight in which these graceful creatures put on a real show.
Established in 2004, Beqa’s Shark Marine reserve is now protected from any illegal fishing and each diver is charged a fee for diving which goes towards the reef community fund. Beqa Lagoon is also famously known as Fiji’s soft coral capital, with brightly coloured reefs and abundant soft corals and gorgonian fans, There are a couple of small wreck dives and pinnacles to explore.
