KADAVU
Kadavu (pronounced Kan-da-vu) is the 4th largest island in the Fiji group and is approximately 100km south of the main island of Viti Levu. It is an island of awe inspiring volcanic mountains and miles of untouched beaches. It is yet to be discovered by tourists and maintains its traditional Fijian village way of life. There are untold varieties of hard and soft coral all in a brilliant array of colours. The Great Astrolabe Reef offers also endless swimthroughs, shark dives and amazing visibility, which all adds up to some of the finest diving anywhere in the South Pacific.
MATAVA RESORT
Set amidst lush tropical surroundings and just a two hour boat ride from the airport lies Matave Resort, offering both traditional style Fijian "bures" with communal bathroom facilities, or bures with private bathrooms. The hotel has an on-site restaurant and bar. On-shore activities include horseback riding, village visits to drink kava with the locals, and treks to waterfalls. Watersports include snorkelling and kayaking. There is a full service dive shop providing daily boat diving of the Great Astrolabe Reef.

MATANA RESORT / DIVE KADAVU
Nestled in tropical gardens, a fifteen minute boat ride from the airport, this resort accommodates 16 guests in Fijian thatched "bures" each with private bathrooms. The dining room has a panoramic outlook. There is a good selection of wine available and guests are welcome to bring their own selection of spirits. Watersports include snorkelling, windsurfing, parasailing, and water skiing. There is a full service dive shop operating daily boat diving.
