About Us
Allways Dive Expeditions is a specialist dive tour wholesaler and travel agency providing tours and travel arrangements for groups and individuals to destinations around the world. It is part of the Allways Travel group of companies and was established in 1977 in Melbourne, Australia. The organization brings together staff with a wealth of diving experience.
The company uses state-of-the-art equipment and a worldwide communications network to provide a full range of services. We handle all aspects of travel from airline reservation, tickets, transfers, travel insurance, to on-site conference management of large groups. We are the official agency for the South Pacific Underwater Medicine Society whose annual conference (held at various Pacific or Asian destinations) attracts up to 200 diving medical practitioners and their families. We are fully licensed and are members of IATA and AFTA (Australian Federation of Travel Agents) We will prepare obligation-free personalized quotations for individuals or groups to any destination - just email the bookings/enquiry form. Ian Lockwood Ian is the Managing Director of Allways Dive Expeditions. Ian joined Allways Travel in 1989 in the retail section and moved to diving in 1990. He became a certified diver in the same year and has a keen interest in schooling pelagics and the history of World War II wrecks. Ian regularly leads groups to various destinations and has dived in New Caledonia, Tahiti, Papua New Guinea, Fijian Islands, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Micronesia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia's Great Barrier Reef and Victoria. Ian has also travelled extensively during his career in the industry and has visited Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, Paraguay, United Kingdom and Europe, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia , New Zealand and the USA where he spent 10 month's in Atlanta, Georgia. Geoff Skinner Geoff owns a portion of the company and is actively involved in operations and sales and marketing. His career in the dive industry started when he became the importer and distributor of Oceanic Dive Equipment in Australia in 1972. Geoff has seen a tremendous evolution in both the equipment and travel side of the industry. He regularly visits our destinations and is always on the lookout for what is new and interesting. Geoff has logged over 5000 dives and is a qualified dive master. He has an in-depth knowledge of Australian dive destinations (Great Barrier Reef/Coastal New South Wales/Western Australia/Victoria/South Australia and Tasmania), New Zealand, the Maldives, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia & Borneo, Papua New Guinea, Truk, Palau, Yap, Pohnpei, Saipan, Guam, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Easter Island, Tahiti, Chile, Hawaii and California. Geoff is an accomplished underwater videographer and has been a consultant on many films. Geoff leads a number of groups to various destinations every year including the annual South Pacific Underwater Medicine Society conference. Tracey Ellis Many of you may know Tracey as she spent 4 years at a previous dive travel wholesaler. Tracey’s passion for diving has lured her back into the diving industry. Tracey is excited to be working with Allways Dive Expeditions and selling dive travel once more . Tracey has dived in Vanuatu, Micronesia - Palau, Tonga, Papua New Guinea, Borneo and most recently the Philippines. She also spent 3 months travelling around Europe, visited Sri Lanka, Hawaii, and spent 3 exciting weeks in Egypt. Tracey is looking forward to preparing your next diving expedition. |

Tim Gilder Tim Joined Allways Dive early in 2007 after moving to Australia with his wife and family after living in Vanuatu for the previous 13 years. Tim spent six years working at Nautilus Scuba in Port Vila where he completed his rescue and Divemaster. He travelled back to Australia to complete his instructors with Tony Fontes at Airlie Beach and returned back to Vanuatu and moved up to Espiritu Santo where he managed Allan Power Dive Tours operating on the Coolidge where he completed thousands of dives. In 2006 Tim transferred to Bokissa Eco Island Resort where he was assistant manager before moving back to Australia. Tim has brought a wealth of knowledge on diving from an operators point of view and as a customer. Tim is both an SSI and Padi instructor with TDI qualifications. Most of Tim’s diving has been in Vanuatu but has travelled extensively through Asia and Europe. Tim is keen to learn more about all the other great dive destinations Allways has to offer so that he can sell them with the same passion as Vanuatu making your Dive Dream Holiday come true. Heidi Patrzalek Heidi has worked as a wholesale consultant for the past 5 years working in both Perth and Melbourne for various companies, most recently Asian Bound Holidays. After a year of Maternity Leave, Heidi followed a temp assignment to Allways Dive Expeditions. From there, a decision to specialise in something a little more adventure oriented led Heidi to commence her new position as a dive travel consultant. Whilst working in the travel industry, Heidi has traveled to Thailand, Malaysia, UK, France and most recently Bali. Heidi is looking forward to assisting you on your next dive vacation. |

Abbigail Steen Abbigail joined Allways Dive Expeditions in Mid 2008 and has for the last year been performing general office duties. Abbigail assists with all the administrative components of your dive trips and more than not is the friendly voice that answers your calls. During her time at Allways Dive Abbigail has quickly developed a passion for travel and specifically the diving industry and will commence sales call in 2009. She looks forward to finding new ways for Allways Dive to assist you with all aspects of travel and trip promotion. |

Mark Kerkdijk Mark moved from Holland via Brisbane to Melbourne in August of 2009. He since became a PADI Scuba Instructor and a Scuba Service Technician. His passion for both diving and travelling brought him to Allways in May of 2010. Being new to working in the travel industry he quickly adapted to his new position as a dive travel consultant. Having travelled many countries in Europe and a 10 month around the world trip, he is no stranger to the travel industry. Mark has dived the Cook Islands, Bali, Gili Islands, Sipadan, Mabul, Tasmania and still dives frequently here in Victoria. He also lived on Tioman Island, Malaysia for 4 months where he did his divemaster internship. Mark is looking forward to help you get wet! |
